Day 1: Cooking School Review

MasterChef Cooking Class: Day 1 By Rothida and Sonyta Today we cooked at Eureka Cooking School. We cooked traditional Khmer dishes including, mango salad, fish/chicken amok, and jek ktis dessert. It was surprisingly very simple and the cooks were extremely friendly and helpful. The place was organized in a neat manner, allowing all students to evenly participate. The mango salad tasted extremely fresh and our mouths were bursting with flavour. The fish and chicken amok was fluffy as we combined it with a thoroughly mixed egg. The bananas mixed in the coconut cream created an astonishing flavour that blew our minds. The second floor was spacious and allowed us students to enjoy our creations. In conclusion, the recipes were very tasty and easy to follow, therefore, inspiring and encouraging us to continue honing our cooking skills.

Day 1: Restaurant Review: Malis

MALIS By Dag, Alve, and Harald Malis is a restaurant in Phnom Penh with Cambodian cuisine. It has a very nice environment, it has a small pond with fish and fountains and there are a lot of plants giving off a nice vibe. The staff are very kind and helpful, making us feel comfortable. The food is presented very neatly and looks yummy yummy in my tummy. The food came quickly and felt fresh. We got the bay sach moan, bay sach churk ang and an omelette. All of them were amazing. Although we felt like the bay sach churk ang had a little bit of a small portion so we would like for them to have a bigger portion but otherwise it was great! We would  highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Khmer food giving this place 4.5 out of 5 star rating. The toilets are also very clean unlike some other establishments we have been to (Mcdonalds). In conclusion, Malis is a great place to have breakfast and food in general and also good for children.
